Oh man, it's been half a year since I posted. Literally. Things have been good with work-- I'm Assistant General Manager, going to training sometime soon for two weeks.

We're coming up on inventory again, which is days of preparing ahead of time, pricing everything and making sure the store's in order. This time it's at 9:30 at night, meaning I won't be out of there until like 3.

Let's see, bought a condo with Tiffany back in October, didn't really see much family at Christmas, but that's retail. Played a lot of video games.

And now it's 2008. 2008! I met a kid yesterday who was born in 1999.

Goals for 2008:

-Organize my life
-Do that 50 book challenge
-Write more
-Knit

Also, it's Year of the Rat. Or it will be. My 3rd year of the Rat. Or second... I'm not sure if you'd count the first one, as it's my birth year.

I have a feeling this year is going to be made of awesome and win.

Note to self: Soooooo... next time I play the Sims 2 Seasons without my laptop plugged in, make sure you watch your battery life. You (and your Sims) will like it better that way...

But wait! What is this about having battery life? Yeah, Kei has a new computer. Dell Inspiron 1501 (it's silver and shiny). So I could play the Sims 2 (and have battery life).

It needs a name. On principle, it's not getting called One-Winged Angel. I thought of it, and then decided I learned my lesson (my last laptop I named "Precious"... yeah). But I need suggestions.

Also, I bought a rabbit today. He's 3 months old, and a Netherland Dwarf (i.e. really small, and not going to grow much bigger). He's Smoky Pearl coloured (I don't remember if he's Himalayan or not), and a boy (duh). He already has a show/official name ('Meg's Pistol'), but I want to call him by a nickname.

So, any name suggestions are welcome!

Why am I not starting earlier? Well, when I was unemployed (circa two weeks ago), my aunt said "Hey, you're unemployed, let's go to Singapore/Hong Kong/China to ~~shop~~ visit our relatives!"

So yeah. Awesome!

Thursday - got call back from radio station. Didn't apparently get sales coordinator anything, but called back to interview on Tuesday for part-time street team position. So yay!

Which may not be such a good thing, if I get it, because...

Saturday - go to Teavana, to buy tea. Notice "Now Hiring" sign. Ask for application, and fill it out there. Turn it in, get interviewed. Get asked when I can start working. Pretty much hired as long as the background check clears.

So YAY! Employment! And discounts on tea awesomeness.

ConBust was pretty awesome, now only 362 (at least I think that's right) until the next one! Unless it's a leap year, which it very well may be.

Highlights of the con include (but are not limited to):

-Taking up gratuitious space in the main hall of Seelye with continuous hall parties for eating, hanging out, and playing games (we pretty much were there if we weren't in panel)

-Wasabi. As in, Etienne daring me to eat the wad of wasabi from the takeout (the only thing left in the box) and me accepting. I shall do this again, as it is fun, although not for a while, as my stomach still has not forgiven me. ^_~

-Gaming room. Rather, the events in the gaming room Friday night. Firey beer brittle is damn tasty (and Aaron is awesome for sharing expensive tasty snacks). I never did get to caption Siobhan's panel comic on the wall though...

-Some awesome panels. So I really only went to two. I think. I definitely went to the James Howe reading, which was awesome and full of awesome and I need to buy his new book yes I do because oh man yes. Also went to Lizz's voice acting panel, and redubbed some anime. Yeah, I redubbed Spike. From Cowboy Bebop, and yes, it was awesome. Or not, depending on how you looked at it.

-Small children. Who were eventually run out by the boffing war, which was equally awesome. That kid was an expert wielder of the stick--sadly he left before we could impress on him the use of foam swords. Also, the small con-going children. Oh man, the little 1.5 year-old attached to his Wii controller = so cute!

-The dance- balloon volleyball? Learning how to do falls and tumbles on the mat? The Trogdor song, version Guitar Hero II? Yeah.

...and now, to do taxes. Real life, you suck.

Does it make sense to any of you as to why Amazon.com would split my order of 5 books into two shipments that will get here the same day (tomorrow), only one's using UPS and the other's using DHL?

It totally doesn't make any sense to me.

Thought 1: After thorough listening to MyChem's "Dead!", I have found it sufficient for a bonus song for the X-Box 360's version of Guitar Hero. As such, I really want to play it.

Question 1: Will there be an X-Box 360 at ConBust, and is Guitar Hero even coming out in time for ConBust?

Question 2: Ellie, did you ever find your iPod? Also, are you minus one sock? I found one around the house that is neither mine nor Tiffy's size.

Thought 2: The phrase "Save the cheerleader, save the world" is hilariously funny in the context of Kingdom Hearts II (English dub). Expect corresponding icon sometime, read: if I ever get off my lazy ass.
